Pilgrim's Survival Journey
The Pilgrim’s Survival Journey (PSJ) is more than just a youth camp or hike. It is a comprehensive mobile training program that incorporates simulations, experiential learning activities and teachable moments.
The PSJ is a 4-7day structure wilderness hiking experience which combines activities such as and group team building and goal setting activities to challenge participants physically, emotionally and spiritually. The program is designed to facilitate learning in every part of the experience. Even eating and casual gathering times are utilized to illustrate aspects of discipleship and the Christian walk..
The PSJ addresses personal issues such as being faithful to commitments, working together with others, the importance of honesty, sincerity, and loyalty, as well as relating to authority.
The spiritual emphasis is on the individual and his or her walk with Christ, but because the PSJ challenges individual on every level; physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually, it is tends to bring participants together and is therefore inherently team building in nature.
